Virus - now za wont start on startup
« on: March 15, 2008, 02:27:11 AM »
Downloaded a program on wifes PC and avg antivirus said there was a trojan attached.  I removed it from virus vault without taking a note of the name (Doh)

However spybot reported a couple of reg changes.

Now whenever I start up Xp the firewall turned off warning comes on by default and despite attempts to turn it on automatically it tuns itself off on reboot and even after its manualyl turned on it can turn off sometimes.

I use Zonealarm free edition and Windows xp firewall reports this as being turned off.

I have run full avg scan, spy blaster, spy doctor and spybot scan and appears to be no malware left on pc.

What can i do to find out if i got some nasty stuff messing about in my registry ?

Windows XP home machine service pack 2 - all antivirus etc are up to date.
