I have accidentally loaded XP Pro onto a computer running an XP Home Edition operating system.  Now the system is less efficient and freezes on some games that used to run fine.
The hard disk is C:\ and it used to have C:\WINDOWS which contains the Home Edition and now there is also C:\WINDOWS.0 which presumably contains the unwanted XP Pro.
When I try to delete the WINDOWS.0 directory, even in "Safe Mode", I get a message saying that it cannot delete the file "flash... (something)" file because it is in use and it fails to delete the WINDOWS.0 directory.
I want the XP Pro installation to disappear.  Can anyone help me please?
