    hp laptop-recovery
    « on: May 26, 2008, 06:37:06 PM »
My HP laptop crashed so I put in the disks to reformat the computer to its factory setting.  After puting in the recovery disks (which there are 4) the computer shuts itself down before it can download all the files off the disks.  I have tried this many of times and it does not happen at the same time everytime.  sometimes its during the first disk and other times its during the 3rd or 4th.  It mostly happens when it ejects one disk and tells you to put the next one in.  has anyone else had this problem and have a solution.  I would really appriacte any help.

Use rubbing alcohol, and lint free cloth to clean those disks. Use radial, not circular motion.

Are you using the AC adapter to power the machine or are you just using battery power?
