video card

I build a system using a new Gigabyte board with SLI.Power supply is 500watt antec. Iinstalled a Ati radeon 8650 512 MB in SLI slot 1, i only used 1 video card. Well after 5 days of using the new build it would not give me a display. I put in a spare V card and  now i get a display. Can i assume it is only a bad card & leave it as that or should i be using 2 cards with a bridge? Or look for further into the system?

what is the EXACT model of the video card you are having problems with? the closest thing i could find was the ATI V8650 2Gb model.

Im not sure but probably your new videocrad wasn't seated well on the slot. You could try to connect
again the new videocard making sure it seats well and if it still don't display a thing, probably it is defective. Is it still under warranty?

The video cord is a RadeonHD3650 ,like i said it worked for appx 5 days. It was seated properly.When i take out the 3650 & put in another PC i get the same result, no video. When i install a spare pcixpress card in the new build everything is GOOD display ect.

Yes it is under warrerty ,i guess i will have to send it to ATI- AMD
