    Windows Media Center Problem
    « on: July 03, 2008, 11:56:29 AM »
I have a corrupt hp windows media center computer and I have their recovery cd's. I want to do a repair installation like what xp pro can do, but it only allows me to erase the whole hard drive and I don't want to do that. Is there a way of doing just a repair installation and still keep your data on there? I was wondering if it was because they are HP's recovery cd's and not the regular cd's you get from Microsoft could be the problem?

    Yep.

If you don't have the Windows CD, you will have to borrow one.
