    Vista - System Settings Protector
    « on: July 04, 2008, 10:38:06 PM »
    Dear Forum -

I use Vista on my computer and, all of a sudden without having made any changes, I keep getting the message "System settings protector has stopped working". I then click "cancel" and most of the time everything goes back to normal. Sometimes my desktop picture has disappeared and I get a blank background, but all the icons are still there. My questions: What does this mean? How come? Should I do anything about it? I find this a slight nuisance and would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance! ???

Do you use Spybot - I have read that this message comes from Spybot, not Vista.

      Uninstall Spybot and, then, re-install.
If you don't have time to do it right
...when will you have time to do it over?

The latest Spybot version is 1.5.2; if you don't have this version, download and install it.

          Good luck!
