I'm running Vista Home Premium on a Sony Vaio and after I download updates I can no longer connect to the internet (through an ethernet cable or wireless). I had uninstalled a security update (I don't remember the specific one though) and it let me connect but the internet was really slow. I reformatted the hard drive and before I installed any updates I could connect to the internet without a problem. After installing updates I couldn't connect until I deleted Update for .NET Framework 3.0 (KB942371) and I've had no problems since. I just thought that I'd figure out which one was the cause of the problem by uninstalling them one by one and reinstall the updates as I ruled them out as being a problem. This happened to be the first one I tried (KB942371) after reformatting the HD but I have 30 more updates to download and install.
The internet has a cheap setup with several internet lines hooked up in tandem that may very well be much less quality than you would find in the states.
If anyone knows why it would do this, how to tell which updates will stop my internet before I install them, or how to install the updates without it affecting my computer negatively, it would be an enormous help.
Thank you
