    monitoring downloads NOT MUSIC

    Hi

I remember years ago, Netscape had a downloader, (the coconut doesn't remember, I remember it in Netscape 3 around 91 -93) if you lost connection the next time you loged on it resumed where it had stopped, so you didn't have to download from the start.

Is there anything like that today?

Do you mean in Netscape, or all browsers?

If the server, you're downloading file from, supports resume, Firefox 3 will pick up from where it left before connection was lost.
There is also nice FF add-on, DownThemAll: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201, download manager, which supports interrupted downloads.

As for IE, I know nothing.
