Having trouble burning

I'll try and give you as much info as I know...

A couple of weeks ago we had a virus on the computer (not sure what it was sorry) but we had it repaired and all seemed fine.  But now whenever I am trying to burn my music to CD it's jumping and stuttering.  Burning it is no problem, that still works, but it's when I play the CD that it jumps.  I've tried using Realplayer and Roxio, different brand cd-r and trying them in different CD players(thought as first it was my CD player) but nothing changes.  Is it a problem with the CD-RW?

Any ideas?? Really appreciate any help

It could be the burner itself...
Double check all connections are secure.
Remove it in Device Manager and re-boot ...Windows will re-install it automatically.
Finally try it in another machine...if it exhibits the same symptoms after all this the drive is bad.
