I need help...please...

Good day everyone...
This is my story, so please understand it well because I'm not good in english.

I have a problem with my PC..
Whenever I play games like GTA:SA, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Tomb Raider 3 PC, and other Microsoft games, my system always crashes... I have a feeling that there is something wrong with the Direct3d..

I have a game which you can use Hardware acceleration setting or the setting of the Software provided by the game..

IF I choose the Software setting, the game will run normally (my system is not crashing) but If I choose the Hardware acceleration which Direct3D is involve, my system crashes or hangs...

I try to format my PC then re-install Windows XP SP2, install the drivers and updated it, but I encounter the same problem again...

anyways, my system:
Processor: AMD Duron (tm) 1.1~GHz
System RAM: 256 MB
Graphics Card: NVidia GeForce FX 5200
DirectX: 9.0c

Please help me...I will REALLY APPRECIATE IT...please tell me how to fix my Direct3D or my entire DirectX 9.0...

Welcome to ComputerHope.

First, I think we should have a look at your cooling.

I suggest you download Speed Fan.
When you install it, run it and post the temperatures during Idle (when the computer isn't doing anything.
Then play a game with Hardware Acceleration On for as long as you can (until before it crashes) and then post the temperatures again.

If the temperatures seem normal, we'll move on to something else.

Does it display error messages?
Also, does your PC meet these games specifications?

Tomb Raider Anniversary won't work properly
Tomb Raider 3 appears to be an old game. Can you confirm this?

Anyways, I strongly suggest More RAM (at least 768mb)
Also, the 1.1GHz processor if pretty slow for these games. Tomb Raider Anniversary has recommended a 3GHz processor.

However, let's start with the temperatures thing first.
