On certain computer mobo's like D'*censored*, even changing ram can cause the bios to go crazy. The only way I've found to correct this, is:
1. Unplug the PC from the AC power.
2. Open the PC and carefully remove the CMOS battery from its holder on the motherboard.
3. Leave the computer alone for about 30 minutes to an hour.
4. Replace battery. (if you have access to a Digital Volt Meter, check the battery and make sure it tests out to 3.0vdc or better. Anything less than 3.0vdc can cause you all sorts of problems)
5. With the battery reseated in its holder, restore the line power and try to power ON the PC once again.
6. Immediately tap the appropriate key to get into the CMOS Setup and reset the date and time. You may also want to set the boot order.
Save the CMOS settings and let the PC continue to boot. It should work.
I've used this simple technique to revive PC's that were by all rights, DEAD.
It won't cost you anything to try it, but just a little of your time.
Try it with the original ram, not the new ram.
If your new ram is made by "Kingston", all bets are OFF!
Good Luck,
