    computer restart
    « on: October 10, 2008, 01:07:38 PM »
    my computer restarts.
no warning, the screen goes black then it restarts.
it restarts for Warcraft 3 but not Crysis, so its not requirements based.
none of my computer logs pick up anything.
ive tested my outlet and my power supply.

ive got an Intel dual core, 2 gigs of ram, and a nice nvidia graphics card.

the only reasons i found online other than power or overheating (which it isn't, i went through extensive testing for that) is corrupted RAM. i have new ram, and its been doing it since before i even hooked my computer up to the internet, so i dont think the rams been corrupted.

    anyone have any ideas?

The 2 most common PBLMS. that it would be is overheating or memory

DLoad and run MemTest to be sure...
Let it run at least 2 hours.

NOTE: I have installed brand new RAM modules that had issues so it's worth the investment of your time...

Do a google on SpeedFan's software and run it to confirm it is not overheating. you probly have 5 or more fans running...or not.

            Temp 1 40
            Temp 2 41
            Temp 3 25
            HD0      42
            Core 0  37
            Core 1  36

as for my processor, its Intel, but when i went to look up the system info, i couldn't get it to load, it just stops responding when i tell it to show me something.
