    Help!
    « on: February 20, 2009, 08:11:14 AM »
    Hey guys,

I have a virus/trojan/spybot... im not sure what it's called. I'll explain what it does. Whenever I log on MSN, I start chatting with friends then after a certain amount of time my mouse is blocked and the virus/trojan/spybot starts to spam my contacts with links and offering to sell child porn :S. I've run Avira anti-virus its found a few things but hasn't solved the problem. I've also run Adaware and it found nothing. The only way i stop it, is by ctrl alt delete signing out of msn. Then I regain control of my computer and all is fine. I've even used www.ebuddy.com and it doesn't happen there so im certain its a MSN virus.

    Any help would be welcomed.

    Thanks in advance.

Trend do a free on-line scanner which is very good http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/

Also you could go to control panel then add/remove programs and remove msn messenger, and then go to msn and download it again .... this is a common virus, several of my contacts also have it.

          Hey,

After running all of my anti-virus programs for the 3rd time they found a trojan and put it into quarantine.

Im pretty sure its solved now... letting the anti-viruses finish as well as the one you linked.

          Thanks for the help

I would suggest that even if your scans come up clean that you follow the below link and then post the scans in the spyware section
