Compucessory cordless mouse
« on: February 23, 2009, 09:46:33 AM »
I was recently given a used compucessory cordless keyboard and mouse.  There were no driver disks present.  When I plug it in the keyboard works perfectly (I am using it now)  but I can't get the mouse to work.  I have tried looking for drivers for it, but I cannot seem to find anything.  Is there a way to tell if the mouse is just broken?  The optical light shows up just fine.

The model number on the bottom of the mouse, keyboard and reciever is CE0470.

I am using Windows vista Home Premium SP1
The computer is an HP Pavillion 2 GHz dual core
I have 2 GB DDR 2 Ram

Thanks

Since google only turns up 3 hits for info on drivers on this model...all dead ends i would suggest investing in a new cordless combo....

Do you actually push "Connect" button on wireless receiver, and on the mouse, before you try to use it?

I didn't know there was a connect button.   :-[  I'll look for it and try it.

What you usually do, you push "Connect" button on the receiver, first, and then quickly, "Connect" button on the mouse (it should be underneath, and you may need a pencil to push it).

Solved!!

I pushed the connect buttons, and the mouse worked, but was jumpy.  However then the keyboard stopped working.  I finally solved my problem by going out to the garage  and finding a PS2 extension cord and extending my plug in mouse to where I wanted it.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Did you try new battery?

Keyboard requires same action as mouse. Pushing "Connect" button on the receiver, and right away on the keyboard (underneath).
