Help i cant get to my desktop

i usually load to my desktop but today i just see my wallpaper and it kicks me back to the welcome screen where you select your account.i only have one account and when i double click the user it says logging on loading components then says logging off.
i was trying to get rid of a trojan called iexplorer.exe and rundll32.exe so i googled the problem and one site told delete stuff in my registry in something like software/microsoft/run
its either i deleted something useful or something is preventing me to go to my desktop

btw i dont have a refoemat disk
is it possible to system restore to like few days back?
because i dont want to lose my files

Anyone who has a PC without a recovery CD needs to have a pratical backup system. The easy way to do that is to have another HDD that you can place inside the computer. For a Laptop or Small Form Factor PC you use some kind of external method. Like a network Drive. Or a USB Drive.
If you do not have a backup method, get some help from a fried that has a PC and some extra drive space. You can find a CD that will allow you to boot the injured PC or Laptop using another OS . And then copy files onto a network drive. As room as possible you want to get an "image" of your HDD and work with the image instead of the original. You can always go back to the original.

Example, boot  Barts PE that with XML Drive image.

its my fault for deleting somregistry key that probably caused this
can anyone tell me like a method to take out files like my music folder and other folders? like into a cd or drive


also, is it possible to take out my hardrive and put it in another compuer os

Yes. If another computer has Ubuntu on it, it can read another hard drive place din the same computer. That's one easy way to copy personal photos, docs and mp3s to another Hard drive as a precaution. Ubuntu can read Windows XP data files, but it may not write them back properly, unless you have a FAT32 partition bailable.

Myself, I like Puppy, it loads quick and is very easy for me.

But the preference for Windows is to use Barts PE.

eric, go into safemode and do a system restore to before you deleted the registry keys.

If that doesn't work, click Start then Run and type in:   sfc /scannow
Have your windows CD handy - it will ask for it.

so in a different compter os i can just install ubuntu and like transfer the files from the other hardrive in the new computer?
and no i triedll the options on the black screen inluding the safemodes. and it just keeps kicking me out whenever i try to login from the welcome screen, i shouldve not deleted that registry key D:
well my only option now is to get a new compuer and try geek-pm method by using ubuntu
thanks for your help guys, i really appreciate it. and if ubuntu doesnt work ill come back and find another method, because i already cleared my computer 2x and lost many important documents.
