    Audacity help
    « on: April 11, 2009, 08:55:15 PM »
I am useing Audacity and I can't get it to pick up Audio.

I did go into Preferances and select my Realtack Aduio Drivers for the  Input and Output sound.

But I think it has something to do with the Input Valume Metter if I remember.
But I don't know how to set it.

I know if I click on it I get bars that move left to right but I am not even recording anything so I don't know why thy are moving.

And if I click on them again they just go away so I don't know how to ajust them.

    Can anyone help thanks.

Well this is the thing the Dropdown list that you would pick what sound sorce you are going to record sound from is Grayed Out.

For some Un Known thing I can select my Realteck HD Driver in the Audacity Preferace Dropdown List for the Playback and the Record Driver.

But I think Realteck HD works Automaticly.
That is if you plug a Microphone in then it will Auto Pickup the Microphone sound.

Realteck is a big Nut I have always had prablems with it even with other things.

But I am trying to pick up sound from the Net that is coming from my PC.
So that would be Stereo Mix.

OK  I got it to record.

Now one thing I don't know is how to ajust the Valume Inupt.

I know I did it befor I think there is a Slider in Audacity for the Input Level but I dont seem to see it.
