    i have to yell at my microphone to get it to pick up anything...

      this is the person who posted this problem. i founf out how to make it a lil louder but , it doesnt help i guess, their was a bar low way in the computer

        get a better one?

        well check the mic setting to see if it has a volume switch\ then check your computer microphone settings.
        start > run > sndvol32.exe
        or start > (vista search) sndvol32.exe

        then check out the volumes

          i got it to work i think through skype setting hahaha, i forget if anyting else was needed, the volume got a lot louder. sndvol32.exe didnt come up in the vista seach bar . D:
