Some websites don't open!

I am currently running a rather old desktop - Dell Dimensions 9100 with Windows XP, service pack 2. I am having problems running some websites, I am thinking it's due to a software missing from my PC that the website requires but when I go to the websites I have problems with, nothing comes up at all apart "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage..." I'll get a screenshot if need be, but you guys should know the screen. I've tried Google Chrome & Internet Explorer 7 but both browser display there screens what say the page cannot be opened. Here are a few I've tried accessing but get the problem:

www.huddcoll.ac.uk

Can anyone solve my problem? Much appreciated if possible!

apply SP3 and all critical windows updates except IE8

The flash website doesn't open, I presume same fault as the earlier websites I mentioned. I'll update to service pack 3.

Updated to service pack 3, webbys still dont work including the one where I download flash player from, thanks. Josh
