You may fail to install an executable if only your husband is an administrator
A user cannot do an administrator's job.
I have a related thought in mind - but I don't want to get flamed ! ! !
You may need to have him install it for you, or to give you admin rights.
FLASH has vulnerabilities.
A few months ago it was so bad that FLASH 10 was released.
I decided to minimize risk
I un-installed all the adobe - macromedia rubbish - every wretched bit of the stuff.
To then display FLASH on either I.E. or Firefox would have required separate downloads by both browsers which would automatically get the relevant (and different) executables.
I chose to contaminate my hard drive with only one download;
the "safe" NON-'Active X' version used by the safe browser Firefox.
An even more important reason is that now I.E. has lost Flash 9, my daughter has to switch over to Firefox if she wants to see Flash. I am sure she will yield if I apply sufficient pressure ! ! !
By adding the Active X version for I.E. I would have gained more vulnerabilities because Active X is bad news, and I.E. is even worse.
