XP shuts down, but computer will not power off

OS XP professional.....HP xw8200 workstation....3.2 GHz xeon.....Refurbished.....powered off fine until I installed eNvidia 8800GT graphics card. Now windows will shut down, but computer will not power off....have to hold power button for 10 seconds to power off. I don't want to continue to hard reboot...help.

Try uninstalling the eNvidia 8800GT graphics card driver in safemode. It might be a driver conflict issue.  :)
