            Well...got another power supply to swap in to make sure you didn't get a lemon? Unless someone else has any ideas....all your standoffs were in right...right?

              Does it have a second power connector on it?  A female connector?  Zero insertion force if it takes more effort to put it in then you may have bent a pin.

                24 pin to motherboard and the other 4 pin is pluged in

                  what????????????????????  No thats just the atx to the board he said that it dont have an on an off switch,  I was going to say that I had one like that an it has such a connection for like the monitor or something.

                    i guess i will have to find another powersuply or take the one out of my pc to see if it is that.

                      and it's also only in AT power supplies.

                      NOT ATX.
                      I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.
