Hi guy's the empty vessel is back just trying to suck up knowledge like a dry sponge.  :)

Ok disk partitions. Simply why? Why do we do this and what benefit do we get?

OK let me re-clarify. I get the idea of partitioning and the physics behind it but why do we do it?

Personal preference i guess....i have customers with 2 TB of storage and no partitions...
I myself use and like partitions...even on smaller drives.
