    Vista to Xp
    « on: July 05, 2009, 04:32:47 PM »
I have just changed my OS to XP from Vista on a Acer laptop. I have a problem of the lappy just switching itself off now and again!! Twice a day, no warning, just a click and a dead screen!! Any ideas anyone?? Cheers and thanks in advance.

    Just 2 questions first:
    1. is it genuine Vista
    2. what are the laptops specs

    The question should be ....
    1. Is it genuine XP?

after all, the original poster (chassyp) has already removed Vista and got XP installed to the laptop....  :)

Yeah, it may be a heat problem. I have heard of Acer and Toshiba sometimes having fans in backwards...
