Monitor went black, can't see anything.
    « on: August 01, 2009, 10:21:28 AM »
Our computer was working just fine yesterday morning but later that night we moved around the mouse (the computer was in sleep mode) and the screen was pitch black. The mouse is the only thing visible on the screen at the moment. We restarted the computer and it lead us to the log in page but once we logged on the same thing occurred. Computer crash? Virus? Help plz. Btw the main thing we're worried about are all the pictures currently saved on the computer. Is there any way to retrive them?????

Restart your computer pressing F8 to enter safe mode ...click on last known good configuration.

Once again nothing, the computer took twice as long to load and when we finally got it to restart, the same thing occurred. We have a program we can put in to clean out everything and MAYBE get it to work but losing the files is our last alternative...
