    Charger blinking on and off when plugged into laptop

    When my charger isn't plugged in the laptop the green light is always on.  When I plug it in the green light starts blinking and the laptop gets charges in little spurts.  Is this a problem with the charger or the battery?

    Remove the battery and repeat charger hook up. Does it still blink?

      I would guess a problem with your charger. Do you have another?

          I bet that will fix your problem. I would make sure the borrowed PS covers your power requirements (I'm thinking careful of too small output current even if your voltage is right)

          and most important of all is polarity
          if you get that wrong
          you will destroy or battery and or damage the laptop
