       i have a pc after dark conputer i picked up a virus while searching the net  blue screen errro your pc has been infected shutting down to pertect youe conputer dupping files to disc 100 then i run virus scan and it said files indect i said clean and remmove now all i can get is this file has no assoicate   file is there any thing i can do to reboot my conputer

    Visit the Virus and Spyware section of the Forum and follow the top of the page guide for posting your logs...
    It may help if you post the entire BSOD message as well.

        Once again thank you! i tried that. but i cant get on to the conputer to do any thing"" all i get is this has no file assosation. thats what i was trying to find out how to get on it to run recovery

        Have you tried booting into safemode ? ?
        Power up the machine and tap F* repeatedly before you see the Windows screen...
        Choose safe mode with networking which will give you web access.

        NOTE: Your icons and screen will look much different...don't panic this is normal.

        Patio's post should read: F8, not F*

        And you can use another machine to download a boot time AV and run that (Avira, Avast, Bit Defender, etc)
