I experienced some prolems and attempted system restore to restore my computer to an earlier time. When the computer rebooted not only did my Windows Internet Explorer become disabled, but I could not get system restore to boot either. The error message that I get is: sha1auth.sf?k=1033. Skype still works, so I know that my internet broadband connection is OK. Can any tech person help me out, short of completely reformatting my hard drive? I am using another computer to ask this question and I am running XP home with 1gb of ram on the one that is affected. Thanks
