cant download media player 11

I cant download it using firefox or internet explorer. It says
 Unable to connect       
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at download.microsoft.com.

    *   The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
          moments.

    *   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
          connection.

    *   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
          that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

connections good tried a few moments later even took firewall off.   i tried another computer using the same connection and it worked. help appreciatd

Is your Windows install legit ? ?

You have to download the WGA before you can download WMP11.

Lack of WGA should not do that.
The screen shot I posted is from a XP system that does NOT have WGA.

I think he means that he can't access the page at all. It might be WGA, but i don't think that is the issue. Then again, i'm brainless . Let's wait for the OP to respond.

If you want to try on a working PC that has good WGA, then you can get the install file and just install to your PC in question.

Or go to this link and click on "Download Latest Version" on right side column and you'll get it downloaded without that WGA hassle

But ..... Hopefully you have legit windows.
