    Help!!!
    « on: December 22, 2009, 04:50:55 PM »
    Ok, i have a Acer Travelmate 5720.

I decided to press ALT + F10 when it started to restore it to factory settings. And when it was halfway through restoring to family settings the battery died. Now when the computer starts it just says

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.

    To fix the problem:
1.Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
    2. choose your language settings, and then click next.
    3. click repair your computer.

However i didnt get the disc with the laptop. And the file is \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe. The status is: 0xc000000e. It says the file is missing or corrupt.

    Any ideas?

Manufactuers often rely on the user to make their own recovery disk for a new laptop.
You should be able to buy a recovery disk from Acer. Try this Link:
      http://support.acer.com/
Then click on "eRecovery CD Purchase" [https://secure.tx.acer.com/RCDB/Main.aspx?brand=acer]
