Bios update problem

Hi, I recently bought a second hand Compaq Deskpro EP series 686J1 computer. The system has an Intel processor speed 933MHz. I always get a message during booting which indicates that my PC bios has an error processor code and bios should be updated. The current bios on the system is Version V 3.10 and I got the same version from hp website so I want to know if there is a later version and if not how do I fix this problem.

Are there any codes that appear on the screen when the error occurs? They may seem like gibbirish but we need to know exactly what the screens says so we can offer correct advice.
