Monitor damaged by magnet
« on: June 25, 2005, 10:35:31 AM »
Hi,
This relates to a tv I use for my computer screen.
I am very fond of this tv and really don't want to chuck it out, but it has been damaged for a couple of months now by a magnet. There is a large purlpe blotch that occured a while ago.
For a bit, it faded, but now it is stubborn and it wont go away!
Is there a cure?

From my experience, I can only say that the discolouring will dissapear after two weeks or more. However, I have never kept a magnet near a TV. Only to a CRT monitor.

Unless anyone else has any other suggestions?

It is a TV, Merlin. Not a monitor.
