« on: July 03, 2005, 08:48:16 PM »
i have windows 2000 for my hp computer and when its in the loading screen it stops and says files are corupted or missing so i reformat my computer so i can just start fresh (with windows 98)  and when the computer finishes and  I restart it, it says it is still windows 2000 with the corupted or missing files.  does anyone know why my computer isnt remembering that i formatted or what ever is wrong?

Formatting a disk deletes ALL the data on it.
    You are doing it wrong.

    QBC:

How did you reformat the hard drive partition?  Did you boot to the Windows 98 CD or did you use a floppy boot disk?  Also, is there more than one partion on your hard drive?
