      hi merlin ,
                     this drive didn't come with a disk already in a comp i bought runs up to the setup aand then i get the suoo13 message tried to fdisk the drive wouldnt fdisk but it did format it now stuck on message errorread the article still trying to figure out what it all means any other help on the matter.

        blimey is was sent ages ago???  anyway check the jumper setting to csl........is this a wd ....h/d...is there an o/s on it.....or  has its been stripped....

          its a western digital 23200 3249mbs and no there was no op system on itmust have been wiped clean

              i was trying to install win98se on it and it wouldn't let me start the set up dicide to try win2000 and am now formating the drive to put 2000 on it's wierd i guess i solved the problem .  NOT!!!!!!  I JUST PUT AN OP ON THAT WAS PROBABLE ON IT BUT I DIDN'T KNOW FOR SURE. thanks for the help merlin .i'll keep coming with the questions and i hope you keep cming with the answers.

                its a western digital 23200<bmacgurk> ....... M_2.win98 does not like big hard drives unless the lba is enabled in th bios setup>>>.. the h/d <master setup> i have sent is ok dont touch it...just install it.into a pc without any h/d.....ok ;)

                            i will wear gloves when it comes in but the hard drive is only a little over 3gigs so
