    Hi
    « on: April 01, 2010, 04:13:12 AM »
I'm trying to install windows vista on my laptop. On the page that asks where do I want to install Windows, it lists Disk 0 Unallocated Space 74.5 GB total size  74.5 GB free space. I selected new which opened up a box that says Size: 76319 MB, w/the option to change size up or down. When I clicked apply, I got an error msg, Error: 0x80042453

Try and use a Windows XP CD or another partitioning utility to create the partition you want to install your operating system on to.

You have probably an 80G HDD in that machine...
Re-run setup and at that screen delete the existing partition and let Windows re-create it...
