    Can't install directx 9.0c
    « on: April 22, 2010, 07:27:25 AM »
    Can someone help me???

I can't install Directx 9.0c. I've tried installing it and everything went smoothly but when i run dxdiag, it still shows my old version which is Directx 8.1. Please help!!!!

P.s. my old version has a note that says "The file qasf.dll is an old version, which could cause problems."

How much free space is on the drive? You will need a little over a gig....

Have you tried to uninstall the old version and reboot and load the new version?

Are you doing the install from Windows Update or downloading the MSI from MS? If you want to try to install from the download you can get it here.....
