Home Page won't stay changed
« on: June 15, 2004, 10:08:10 AM »
I used Fox News for my home page. When I decided to use something else by going to  options, homepage, current, apply, ok, it will come up with the new page but the next time reverts back to Fox News. I have tried deleted cookies and made a search of the computer and deleted anything with Fox News. Evidently they have a cookie type file that I am not finding.  Thanks

When you apply a new Homepage only press Apply, donot press any of the buttons underneath the bar where you would normally write the adress.

If this is not the issue, look into Ad/male ware removers.

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ - Adaware - Free Trial avaible.

http://www.safer-networking.org/ - Spybot S&D - Freeware

There are more programs to remove Adware and Malware. Look for them on the net. But these two are probably the most well known scanners.

I ran "Ad a ware" as suggested. It cured the problem. Thanks
