streaming

I just recently purchased a computer withwindows 7...I am trying to figure out how to stream something from the computer to the t.v.....such as if I am watching a blu ray movie on the computer..how can I stream it to the t.v.....I have a wireless network setup through out the house and can not get windows to recognize the wii.....if you have any suggestions I would be grateful...thanks you

thanks doug....the router and the wii have been working fine for years...but I can't seem to figure out how to get the new computer to recognize that the wii is part of the network....probably something simple....but thanks again
