Pop up when computer turns on
    « on: May 23, 2010, 07:46:18 PM »
Hi. This is my first post, so I am going to try to put as much info as I can.

I recently decided to clean my computers hard disk drive by removing programs I do not use anymore. Now, every time I turn on my computer, this pop up appears.

I do not know if uninstalling programs would do this. So what possibly caused this and how can I remove this?

    Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Model: HP Pavilion dv6700 Notebook PC
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU  T8100 @ 2.10 GHz
    Memory (RAM): 3.00 GB
    System type: 32-bit Operating system
This is also a windows vista laptop.

Thanks Computer_Commando for correcting me about the hard disk drive.

This is what happens when you delete something without using Windows "Add-Delete Programs".  BTW, you did not "clean memory".  Memory is RAM and is "cleaned" every time you turn the computer off.  You "cleaned" the hard disk drive (also known as: disk drive, HDD, etc., but never Memory).

I used the add/remove programs in the control panel.

Download and run Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel - http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml
Delete any entry related to modicl.dll or the program you deleted
