Monitor too Blue
« on: July 22, 2005, 01:11:34 PM »
I have a Viewsonic PS790 19" monitor that has a blue tint to it. I tried several different computers and it still blue. The blue isnt bad when I use a black background but if I pull up light colored web page it gets worse. Then if I make the web page full screen it gets much worse.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The monitor may be failing

Readjust the colour schematics manually to see if you can even out the colours.

I recently discarded a perfectly good working 17" monitor because the red colour channel had become too dominant. There was no solution to this problem.

Control panel click the display icon click the performance tab......and knock down the slider. down a bit.......The refresh rate should be 60/75 mhz...........or reload monitors drivers..

Do not raise the refresh rate beyond what the monitor is capable of. Further degredation may result.
