    Western Digital WD2000 not spinning. I believe power side of circuit board has shorted out. How can I retrieve  my info. Can put drive in a working WD2000 case.

    This has been done before...
    The problem is you need to find an identical drive to do so.
    Best success comes if the manuf Batch # 's are as close as possible...

      Try eBay for product matches...
      I don't normally recommend them but this is where i found the last 2 drives i had to do this with...
