Lost Progress
« on: June 19, 2010, 10:58:35 AM »
My project was at 85/100.  My area had a power outage while my computer was on.  When I got back on, F@h said 0/0.  That was OK; I knew it was loading.  Then it went to 85/100, where I was last time.  But next time I checked it it said 1/100!  The log file says it was deleted.  Queue Info says it was finished at the exact time of the power outage.  I have no points, no WUs, and a fresh project.  Can I get my progress back any way?

Sounds like the work unit got corrupted.  Checkpoints are supposed to save progress in order to prevent this, however if your system was actually creating a checkpoint at the time of the power outage this will unfortunately happen.
There's no way to recover the unit.

I just found you were right from this line:

[16:29:53] Folding@home Core Shutdown: BAD_WORK_UNIT

Nuts... that took a while

Hey Fleexy, something must have gone right. You've got your first WU and your name's now listed on the team. I had a few frustrations when I first started also and it must have  been frustrating for you too, but now you're on your way. Congrats, overthehill
