Windows XP safely remove USB hardware
« on: July 26, 2005, 02:22:13 PM »
When I click once on the Safely remove (USB)device I am given a list of devices that are currently connected.

This list is currently using the format USB-device for mass storage - station(G:) remove safely (Freely translated). I would like it to report the name of the drive currently connected as opposed to the station letter.

How do I make it so?

The events log will list it ......but when you remove it from the list.....windows will reallocate a irq for it any way....

That does not answer my question.

I would like to have the name of the device connected to be shown rather than only the drive station when I click once on the safely remove hardware icon in my taskbar.
