    Inexperienced user, serious virus/bug/parasite etc.

    HELP!
    I'm a young computer user, very inexperienced and the only use for the current laptop on which the problem is occurring is my two sisters playing online games.
    Basically, this icon has appeared on my system tray which is a yellow shield with a two grey/black stripes going from the bottom left to the top right of it.
    I also keep getting 'Antivirus Software Alerts' in the bottom right, they pop up in a red box and say;
    INFILTRATION ALERT
    your computer is being attacked by an internet virus. It could be a password-stealing attack, a trojan - dropper or similar.
    DETAILS
    Attack from: (This bit keeps changing)
    Attacked port: (as does this)
    Threat: Win32/Nuqel.E (and sometimes BankerFox.A)
    Do you want to block this attack?

    Also every few minutes i get this pop up of the same type, in a red box saying the following:
    ATTENTION ! SPYWARE ALERT
    vulnerabiltes found
    your computer is infected by spyware. 34 serious threats have been found while scanning your files and registry. its strongly recommended that you disinfect your computer and activate realtime secure protection against future intrusions.
    And it asks me to upgrade to it, and the two options are Stay unprotected or Activate.
    This must be a virus? 'Cos ive heard of the virus win32/Nuqel.e giving fake security alerts so it can detect keystrokes to take your information, help would be much appreciated.

      Thanks Dave but I clicked on the link and  it says the file is not available ? (MBAM)
      And now i am very frequently receiving 'security warnings' that say:
      Application cannot be executed. The file wuauclt.exe is infected, and i can't open google chrome my default browser as it says the same thing but chrome.exe is infected?! :S
      Please reply soon as the virus seems to be progressing, the alerts are much more frequent and are barely allowing me to do anything, so ive stopped using the laptop except for checking your reply. Also, i've now got a 'program' icon on my desktop called antimalware doctor, i uninstalled that straight away, but strangely eough i constantly get alerts telling me to update it, with noticably bad spelling. Help! The system tray also keeps getting multiple icons for windows update that disappear as soon as i roll my mouse over it. And a couple of times i have had an icon in the system tray which is the same shape as the other warning/alert icons etc, a shield but is black and blank? I used to use skype, and as well as the wuauclt.exe  message which is much morefrequent i get messages saying file skypenames.2 or something like that is infected! All of these messages open up an internet explorer page automatically if i ignore it. These messages are coming every 5/10 seconds! It is extremely bad, immediate assistance required!!!

          AND practically EVERY executable file is 'infected'. I installed mbam from major geeks, and that won't run either, i tried, i tried this EXE file fix, it was a zip file in the form of winRar, but winrar.exe wont run either :( It seems impossible at the moment SD.

          Please download and run the below tool named Rkill (courtesy of BleepingComputer.com) which may help allow other programs to run.
          Save Rkill to your desktop.

          There are 4 different versions. If one of them won't run then download and try to run the other one.

          Vista and Win7 users need to right click Rkill and choose Run as Administrator

          You only need to get one of these to run, not all of them. You may get warnings from your antivirus about this tool, ignore them or shutdown your antivirus.

          * Rkill.exe
          * Rkill.com
          * Rkill.scr
          * Rkill.pif

          Once you've gotten one of them to run then try to immediately run the following.

          Try running MBAM and SAS after doing this.
