IP help - WTH???
« on: August 27, 2010, 06:27:37 PM »
Hi, I've seemed to run into a network problem/IP problem of some wierd sort....

Here's the thing:

My Apple Macbook seems to have the SAME IP address as my Home PC!
So strangely, their different computers with a different network card, OS, and even ports through connecting to the network!!
But yet I just checked, and they still both have the very same IP address? ???

Why is this (happening)? ???

Please help!
I'd like to know what is going on...
Thanks!
Because our other PC's in the house have different IP's than this Macbook and my PC...
Weird...

Are they all connected with the same modem/router thru cable and or wireless?

ISP supplied IP address? May be static IP so you see same thing. Or did you read the router IP address which should be different for two computers plugged into two different ports (like when you want to use one internet with two computers at same time)

They are all connected wirelessly through the router (with exceptions for an/some old computer(s) .)
