Reboot Problem
« on: October 03, 2010, 06:44:14 PM »
Hi everyone,

I have a HP Pavilion DV6-1128TX notebook with Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 and want to install Service Pack 2.

When the computer tries to reboot, it will shut down and start up again, do a POST, but after it just shows a black screen. No Windows boot screen or logo. There is no beep sequence after the POST.

Would this affect the installation of Vista SP2?

Do NOT install anything, if the computer is not working properly.
