16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem error.

I'm trying to run an application on a XP Machine that was running perfectly on Windows 98 Machine. When i run it i get:



I'm pretty beginner when it comes to DOS so, i am asking your help.

..and the application name is?

The above error can be also an indication of your machine being infected.

I just installed the OS. So it's a clean install. The program is called Pager Billing.

That error message indicates that something is wrong with your Program Information File (PIF). PIF files are files that keep track of the settings for programs in older versions of windows.
Try changing the startup directory.

Thanks everyone for your help. The program was running from a mapped drive and for some reason i had to unmap the drive then remap it for it to start working...It was just a weird bug i guess...thanks!
