    blue screen of death
    « on: November 05, 2010, 01:34:24 AM »
    hello all,

i was in a program which closed and came up w/ the blue screen.
it said, "a problem has been detected and windows shut down to prevent damage."
    under it was; IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

i've got the scans on my desk top, but can't copy/paste to get them here.

Why would you think this is a malware issue?

That error is usually generated by a driver problem. Update all drivers and check for a bios flash. Also, is a specific file mentioned in the blue screen error?

I've moved this out of the malware forum for now.

      hello allan,

because i do not have the experience/education that you have,
i thought this malfunction could have been caused by infiltration
beyond the ability of my protection devices (ex. trojan, virus, etc.).
that applies also to the fact that i cannot transfer the scans to you
from my desktop as i have been able to do in the past...

the only words on the blue screen were what i posted w/ the original
      request of 11/5/10 @ 1:34am.

      thank you.
