PowerDVD Error
« on: August 03, 2005, 07:21:10 PM »
I had been using a trial version of PowerDVD without any problems.  The trial version expired so I purchased and installed the new version (PowerDVD 6).  Most of my DVDs play with no problems with one exception.  The following error message pops up:

"The TV out port of your display card is not working properly.  The copy protected disc can not be played when the TV out function is enabled."

My computer has never been connected to a TV so I'm not sure what to think of this since this DVD played normally when I was using the trial version.

Any suggestions?  Thanks!

I am fairly sure that this is a part of the copy protection system and if you can disable the country origen by finding a copy of the (PowerDVD_Tweaker) this should help fix your problem.
Ther may also be a point in checking to see if there are updated drivers for you vid card

And you can also try Xine a freeware DVD player.

Audacity is a freeware sound recorder in case you need one.
