unable to close the explorer window

hai fellas,iam expeiencing problem with the internet explorer.when i open a IE,i would not be able to close the windows that i open afterwards.so i have ctrl-alt-del them.But doin so,it closes all the windows even which that i dont want to close.will anybody help me solve the problem.

What is your operating system, what version of Internet Explorer are you operating and what events have led to this error occuring?

Did you scan for spyware and viruses with an up to date scanner?
