    Blue screen error message

    My computer will not boot normally and when I tried to boot in safe mode with networking, it takes me straight to the blue screen window with an error message: stop: 0x000000ed (0x8A0F6498, 0xC000009C, 0x0000000, 0x00000000) UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME.
    Can anybody help me with this error message?

    Possible hard drive issue...

    Run hard drive diagnostics: http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=287
    Make sure, you select tool, which is appropriate for the brand of your hard drive.
    Depending on the program, it'll create bootable floppy, or bootable CD.
    If downloaded file is of .iso type, use ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/ to burn .iso file to a CD (select "Write image file to disc" option), and make the CD bootable.

      I can not get on-line with my computer. How can I run a hard drive diagnostic using the web address you gave me?

      Hi,

      Go to the Microsoft support "http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892000" and easily resolve your problem.
